Independent’s Political Cartoonists exhibition and book

Independent Line BookTim Sander’s political cartoons for the Independent, along with those of Dave Brown and Peter Schrank, can be seen in a new book called The Independent Line. There is also an exhibition at the Political Cartoon Gallery, 32 Store Street, London, WC1E 7BS. (Tel.: 0207 580 1114) [here] .

making YouTube and Flickr accessible

Prompted by Antonia Hyde’s (United Response) presentation at this year’s Accessibility2.0 conference in London Chrsitian Heilmann (icant.co.uk) started working on making the YouTube player more accessible by setting up the ‘EasyYouTube’ player. He also went on to create an ‘EasyFlickr’ application which strips the Flickr viewer down to the minimum elements.

Andy Williams’ photos of Egypt

Andy Williams, photographer and member of Common Knowledge recently went to Egypt with students and staff from the History of Art Department at Ruskinmill Education Trust. He was acting as their official photographic documenter and his striking photos of that journey are rich and memorable. You will find a small selection of the hundreds of images he took here
